This course is for cis and trans women and girls of all abilities, ages 10 and up!
You’ll learn: practical strikes, blocks, and releases; effective responses to harassment, threatening situations outdoors, on public transit, private vehicles, at home, work, and school; and strategies for dealing with attackers with weapons, ground and bed attacks, and gang and swarming situations.
Wen-Do is a registered charity and the oldest self-defence organization in Canada taught by women, for women. This 15-hour basic course covers a wide variety of physical and verbal self-defence techniques, awareness and avoidance of threatening situations, and discussions of psychological, social, and legal issues involved in self-defence through a feminist, anti-oppression lens.
