This course is for cis and trans women and girls of all abilities, ages 10 and up!

Wen-Do focuses on women’s safety and empowerment, preparing participants to defend themselves both mentally and physically, and giving women the confidence to deal with the range of types of aggression they are most likely to encounter in real life. The techniques we teach are practical and easy to learn, and the learning environment is safe, supportive, and full of positive energy.

In this 3-hour workshop, we’ll cover the fundamentals of women’s self-defence through a feminist, anti-oppression analysis, the importance of using our voice, body weapons, kicks, blocks, a range of releases, and we will break down stereotypes about violence against women.

Wen-Do is a registered charity and the oldest self-defence organization in Canada led by women, for women.
